On July 29th, at Cherry Creek State Park, Adventure Athletes gathered from far and wide to share in the 4-year anniversary of Axistence Athletics and BushCraft Crossfit. There were paddle boards, rowboats, kayaks and plenty of Dry Dock Brewery’s Apricot Blonde to go around. As in traditional BushCraft fashion, there was a short WOD on the beach, followed by hanging out and catching up with friends.
One of my favorite things about our community events is when members meet each other for the first time. If you regularly attend the 5:30am class, then you likely know the 6:30 crew. However, it’s unlikely that you’ll ever drop into a 12:00pm class. The only thing you may know about them is their first name and what they got on yesterday’s MetCon. The events are a great time to put a face to the name on the whiteboard (Or the Facebook group).
A lot has happened in 4 years. People exist in the world now that didn’t 4 years ago. Dan’s responsible for 2 of them! We’ve had marriages (Beau & Jennifer), engagements (Jonathan & Amanda) and adventures aplenty! We’d like to thank everyone who came out to the party and we can’t wait to see what the next 4 years will bring!
