At Axistence Athletics, we offer a cool 12-week program to help people go above and beyond the usual diet-exercise routine. Before we get too deep into what the Transformers program is, let us tell you what it’s not:
When we first created the twelve-week Transformers program, we did so out of necessity. Here’s the backstory:
Initially we thought that missing link was nutrition. We thought, “Hey let’s clean up the diet and everything will work out!” After the first couple weeks we realized that it was much deeper than that for most of the participants. Telling people what to do and when to do it only works if they know why they’re doing it in the first place.
Transformers is indeed based on nutrition, but more importantly it’s focused on education and the psychology of behavior change. It offers accountability, which helps people stay on course.
One of our members, Laurie, signed up because she was having trouble sticking to the changes she wanted to make. “There are times in your life when you say, I’m going to commit this time to my health,” she said. “Transformers helped me lead a more active existence. I lost 17 pounds and I climbed a 14’er this summer with no extra training.”
The program isn’t for everyone and in fact, we have a few pre-requisites to enrollment. Candidates must:
- A results based program designed to improve eating habits
- A chance to really dig deep into your own goals and aspirations
- A supportive network of people sharing the same struggles and goals
- The most individualized approach that you’ve ever taken in achieving your goals
